LIFE PRSENTS ITSELF, REARS IT'S HEAD AT YOU
No secret, life presents itself in many ways; the good, the bad and the ugly, yes?
We as humans, especially the older we get; have a built in response to life's issues. A habit if you will, or a subconscious pre programmed reaction that has been developed over time. The longer the time, the more ingrained it is. Such as you learn a skill or hobby; such as playing the guitar, it takes much practice to develop the autonomous finger placement on the finger board, also known as muscle memory.
We too over a period of time, our minds have developed this prearranged reaction to information or issues.
Upon realizing this about oneself, how do you; if you so desire, change your programming, and look at what life is throwing at you differently?
Yes, I know the answer is logical in the sense, you reprogram yourself to react differently or alternatively to that ingrained attitude. This takes time, an enormous amount of time. How motivated are you? The answer to that I believe is how long you stick with the reprogramming exercise .
To totally commit to this change, is hard, laborious and a kinship with patience is surely needed.
Again, how committed are you?
As you go along and commit to this alternative way of reacting to life's issues, the longer you are engaged with this; a collateral requirement now stares you in the face: Discipline!
Ah yes, that wonderful smack in the gut, that most of us do not want to deal with, discipline. Another requirement to ensure success.
Starting a new job, one styles oneself to forcing these attributes or disciplines into practice, because it's an investment in your financial future and you play the games or parts you need to in order to advance.
Are you willing to (force) on yourself these attributes for your reprogramming?
Is there any help for this para-dine ?
For me there is, again for me. My faith as a devout Christian. That has been, for me; the only help or DNA if you will, path for successfully dealing with life's ups and downs. Did I say ups?
Yes, your reactions to the ups in life; should inordinately be melded into the way you deal with the downs. Meaning; are you hypocritically minded. When the ups happen, you deserve it; I got mine, you get yours, leave me and my joy ride alone. Don't want to share it!
You've heard the old saying: What comes around, goes around. Some sort of life's self-imposed system of justice. Bad things happen to good people; good things happen to so called bad people.
How does that grab you; what augments in your mind about that? The HEART must be changed!!
When living my life like Jesus wants, I find I am grounded with my reactions, how that settles in my conscious and my outlook. Being a Christian and reading the bible/studying it; I allow it to reprogram or not think like that of those who presume to be their own god. My faith in HIM, changes my heart, that when things are good, I'm so excited to want to help someone else have a good day. When things are not so good, I am armed with spiritual guidance to withstand the season and not to look at it as a personal vendetta on me from this world. The world will hand you both with or without nudging it.
Looking for Peace? Try it, you have nothing to loose and a lifetime here and after of peace no matter what the circumstances
I call that success.
Allow God to bless you..........
Beautifully written, Vinny. Yes, armed with spiritual guidance to find peace in HIS word. Thank you.
